Bnnonline24.com CHITTAGONG: The 11th month-long International Women's SME Expo Bangladesh-2017 kicks off in the port city from October 15 next. Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CWCCI) is going to arrange the gala event at city's Polo ground field in association with Export Promotion Bureau, the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry, SME Foundation and Jute Diversification Promotion Centre. Addressing a press conference at CWCCI seminar hall, CWCCI director and Convener of the Expo Committee Rebeka Nasrin informed that nearly 365 stalls including 15 pavilions from home and abroad will display their products in the gala SME Expo.
She said the delegation of women entrepreneurs from South Asia including India, Pakistan, Thailand and Iran will visit and participate in the fair. The fair will brighten the image of the port city in international forums as a city of trade and investment, Rebeka Nasrin said, adding that it will also help introduce different goods made by women at home and abroad. CWCCI senior vice-president Abida Sultana and former senior vice-president Khaled Awal, among others, spoke on the occasion.
